In a continuing effort to support the reining industry locally, regionally, nationally and internationally through innovative and dynamic events, The International is proud to introduce a new opportunity for a very special category of reining competitors: The Loot for Grassroots.  This specialty class caters to non pro reiners who have not won more than $24,999 in NRHA lifetime earnings as of January 1, 2008.

FACTS ABOUT “THE LOOT”

 

Fact: 80% of all Non Pro competitors have earned less than $25,000 in NRHA lifetime earnings.

 

Opportunity:  : In an effort to support a category of reiners who are critically important to the success of our sport, The Loot for Grassroots has been uniquely designed to pump $100,000 into the Non Pro reining industry.

 

 

Date:              THE LOOT will be part of the International Reining  Festival on October 14-19, 2008

 

          Eligibility:

§         Open to Non Pro competitors who have not earned more than $24,999.99 in lifetime earnings as of 1/1/08, (using NRHA Cat. 1 eligibility status for Int. and Ltd.)

§         Prize money won in the “The Loot” will not be reflected in your NRHA earnings and will not affect your NRHA competitor status.

 

The Loot:      

§         Non Pro                $50,000

§         Int. Non Pro          $35,000

§         Ltd. Non Pro          $10,000

§         Prime Time NP         $5,000

         

Paybacks:

§         Premium money from “The Loot” will be according to NRHA schedule B, allowing for prize money as far as 15th place in full classes.  This system will inject thousands of dollars deep into the Non Pro industry.     

 

Entry Fees and Deadlines:

§         Eligible competitors may enter any one class in The Loot for Grassroots by 9/1/08 for $500.00, or all classes in the division by 9/1/08 for $750.00.  Late fees and 11th Hour entry fees are also available after 9/1/08 and 10/1/08, respectively.

§         Riders must be declared at the time of entry and the entry must be accompanied by LTE record for the rider as of 1/1/08.

          The International is a terrific show for trainers and open riders to gather up titles, significant earnings and accolades while your Non Pros rake in the additional prize money available at this show.  The International offers $100,000 in added money in classes above and beyond The Loot for Grassroots, including:

 

§         $11,000 Mile High Derby

§         $30,000 Futurity

§         More than $10,000 in the regular Open classes

§         A full slate of ancillary classes

§         $10,000 Challenger’s Cup Freestyle

§         NRHA Mountain Region Affiliate Finals
